QSC Demonstrates Q-SYS for Immersive Sound
During exhibit hours at ShowEast 2013 this week in Hollywood, Florida, QSC Audio Products, LLC, is demonstrating a proof of concept of an end-to-end solution for the playback of object-based immersive sound program material in their booth #709 on the trade show floor. The demonstrations highlight the capability of the QSC Q-SYS audio signal processing and routing platform to render MDA (multi-dimensional audio) files in real-time. MDA is an open platform, object-based audio format developed by DTS, Inc. that allows every element of a soundtrack to be mapped in 3D space, storing all of the spatial and behavioral information as metadata. QSC Audio Products has released updates to three PC-based software applications for its DCP Series cinema processors. All three updates provide an array of new features and enhanced simplicity of operation. DCP Manager 3.01.18 DCP Manager is used to communicate with DCP Series cinema processors, and allow you to configure and monitor the operation of a cinema sound system. A menu-driven approach enables quick configuration of signal flow and parameter presets for all amplifiers and loudspeakers.
