Q-SYS PL-LA12 Two-way passive installation line array (12 inch) The professional high-power installation line array loudspeaker shall be a two-way full-range bass reflex design incorporating a 12-inch (305 mm) low frequency neodymium transducer with a 2.5-inch (63.5 mm) voice coil and two 1-inch (25.4 mm) throat, 1.75-inch (44mm) voice coil high-frequency neodymium compression driver mounted to a single length-equalized acoustic flare waveguide. The waveguide shall provide a 12° arc angle in the coupling (vertical) plane and 90° in the non-coupling plane (horizontal). The loudspeaker system shall be capable of operation in either passive mode or bi-amped with a crossover frequency of 1.2 kHz in bi-amp and 1.5kHz in passive mode. The loudspeaker system shall meet the following performance criteria: frequency response of 50 Hz to 20 kHz, measured on-axis; sensitivity (1W @ 1m) of minimum 102 dB SPL in free field; maximum rated SPL at 1m (passive) of 119 dB continuous and 131 dB peak (crest factor of 12 dB); rated power capacity (passive) of continuous 300W based on a two-hour power test; nominal impedance of 8 Ohms. The loudspeaker system input connectors shall include both two NL4 Speakon connectors and one euroblock connector. The loudspeaker shall have a 12° trapezoidal enclosure constructed of impact resistant ABS. It shall have a black (RAL 9011) finish. The front of loudspeaker shall be protected by an 16-Gauge (1.5 mm) powder-coated steel grille that is lined with acoustically transparent backing and a stainless metallic screen to prevent water ingress and is free of logos or other embellishment. This grille shall be treated against UV and corrosion. The loudspeaker shall be IP54, and all exterior fasteners shall be stainless steel. The input cup shall be protected by a sealing plate. The line array loudspeaker shall have a 4-point rigging system allowing the deployment of 10 loudspeakers with a safety factor of 10:1. The rigging system shall allow up to three sub-basses to be deployed in the loudspeaker array. There shall not be any array frame between the PL-SUB18 and the PL-LA12 loudspeaker. The rigging system shall allow the following angles between adjacent loudspeakers 0.5°, 1.5°, 3°, 4.5°, 6°, 8°,10° or 12°. The fixation and adjustment between loudspeakers shall be done with self-torquing screws. The loudspeaker shall also be able to be deployed in ground stack with the sub-bass without an array frame. The loudspeaker system enclosure shall be 15.4 in (392 mm) high, 24.4 in (620 mm) wide, and 15.8 in (401 mm) deep. The loudspeaker shall have a net weight of no more than 43 lb (19.5 kg). The two-way full-range loudspeaker system shall be the Q-SYS PL-LA12 loudspeaker.
